(2) Properties:
This product is white powder,and can be made to different shapes and different weight pieces. It has the smell of chlorine. In the 1600C, it will produce irritant heavy smoke when resolved. It is a little soluble in water. In 200C, 2 grams of this product can be resolved in 1L water. Its 0.1% water solution's pH value is 2.88. It is soluble in Benzene, Methylene Chloride & Chloroform. It is easy to absorb the moisture, and will be partially soluble in water after moisture absorption. In water, it will react and produce Hypobromous Acid & Hypochlorous Acid, which have antiseptic effects. However,as the ionization degree of Hypochlorous Acid is high, thus enabling it to ionize into Hypochlorous Acid root, which doesn't have antiseptic effect. Whereas, the ionization degree of Hypobromous Acid is low, thus making its antiseptic effect very good.

(4) Use
This product was first used in swimming pools in 1970, and later in cooling systems in 1980. Its features are as follows:
l It has wider antiseptic range;
l It shows faster reaction speed;
l It can be applied in wider pH value range;
l It won't produce any foams;
l It can be compatible with other corrosion inhibitors and other scale inhibitors.
l It isn't sensible to organic substances and nitrogen-containing compounds.
l It is easy to manage and control.
l It can be widely used as antiseptic chemicals in over 90% of swimming pools, hot pipes and thermal springs. For swimming pool's disinfection, the normal dosage is 0.5-3mg/L.
Bromo chloro Hydanloin will be soluble in water, and will release bromine and chlorine in the forms of Hypobromous Acid & Hypochlorous Acid. The bromine release can happen at the same time, but the chlorine release can happen at slower speed. Hypobromous Acid is the key active part for killing microorganisms, its efficiency is higher than single Bromine.Under pH value of 7.1, if you dose the same quantity, the disinfection rate of Bromo chloro Hydanloin is obviously much higher than Dichloro Hydanloin. When removing the biological membrane and preventing biological membrane from forming in the heat conduction surface. Bromo chloro Hydanloin is much more effective than chlorine by 10-20 times. The American J.W. Mocoe thinks that Bromo chloro Hydanloin is the most significant oxidized bactericides.
(5) Use Way:
Bromo chloro Hydanloin is usually supplied in the forms of solid. In small-sized cooling water system, the chemicals'supply will be dosed by hanging it to the cooling water pools or the plastic drums with holes. Our experience shows that if you adjust the dissolution of this chemical to the speed of 1.398kg/L within 24 hours, the result will be satisfactory.
If you replace the oridinary bactericide with Bromo chloro Hydanloin, in refinery, if the capacity of cooling tower is 590.5m3, and the circulating water quantity is 15.142 m3/min, pollution discharge quantity is 0.102 m3/min,cooling capability is 53086MJ/h,and if the tower previously used link chlorine-adding method to treat the cooling water, and the chlorine-adding quantity is 11.35kg/d,the scale inside the tower will be very serious. However, after using Bromo chloro Hydanloin, you dose 2.72g/4.55 m3 every day. After 13 days' treatment, the biological membrane inside the tower become loose, and will slip along with the tower plates. After 43 days, the tower will be as clean as new.
(6) Packing & Storage
This product is packed in 25kg drum or plastic drums. Please store it in cool places without any sunshine.
