(2)Properties:
a. HPAA could be dissolved and separated into two forms: [HPAA]2-& [HPAA]3- in water with pH value between 7 to 9. It could collate with Ca2+ Zn2+ to form a protection membrane of 1:1 chelation complex in the surface of metals. The solubility product (ksp) is as follows: (Zn)(HPAA)<(Ca)3(HPAA)2<(Ca)(HPAA). So, if add Zn2+ in the formula, the corrosion rate can be very high, because corrosion in the metal negative pole may cause the concentration of OH- elevated. The protection membrane will mainly exist as (Zn) (HPAA) and (Ca)3 (HPAA)2. If add HPMA (NC-303) or NC-309 in the formula, the protection membrane will become compact and even. So, we highly recommend our users to complex this product with Zn2+ to act as corrosion inhibitor, because its phosphino-group, carboxyl group and hydroxyl group will make it a very good scale inhibitor.
b. The COD value is 0.34gO2/g. When the cooling water contains dissociative chlorine, it will be oxidized. When confronted with oxidant, it will dissolve quickly. Its thermal stability could indicate 160oC with PSC.

After detected with 31P-NMP.It is concluded that tis NC-208 has the content of more than 85%. It is in accordance
with Belcor 575 of Ciba-Geigy Company.
(4) use:
HPAA could be widely used as scale inhibitor and corrosion inhibitor in cooling water circulation system for steel
& iron, petro-chemitry, power and medical industry. It is usually scale inhibitor when complexed with zinc salt.It
is a scale inhibitor specially suitable for Low Hardness water in South China.

In 200Kg or 25Kg in plastic pails,storage is one year.
